My brothers and sisters in Islam, there is probably not many in the world who won’t have heard of the devastating floods in Pakistan, affecting millions who are without home, shelter, sanitation, food and basic living. I do not think there is any need to try to convince anyone that this is something that everyone should help with. We should always try our best to give aid to our brothers and sisters, wherever they are in the world. We can comment about why this has happened to the people of Pakistan but that does not release us from our obligation to support them. This is just as much a test for us, as it is for them.
Here are some photos six weeks after the floods. The link was sent to me courtesy of Farhan Masood. His blog is www.farhanmasood.com. And he can be followed on Twitter @farhanmasood or by using #PKFloods
You can donate towards the relief effort for the Pakistan Floods using the below link. 100% of your donations go towards those in need – none goes in admin charges etc.
You will find videos on this charity’s site that highlight the severity of what has happened.
I’m happy to add more links that support this cause – so please leave comments and I’ll help where I can. Or visit Brother Farhan’s site and assist him.
If you are from the UK and want to do something, please get in touch and I will connect you with sincere brothers who are working to ease the situation in Pakistan.
